Durability
The Tornado Elite has a 1.5" thick cabinet and weighs 225 lbs. A table of this density is built to last even if exposed to heavy-duty gameplay on a regular basis. The hollow rods and levelers are commercial grade. The 3/4" thick playfield gives it sturdiness and is resistant to warping. It's made in USA and the Tornado brand is one of the best out there.
Gameplay
What's not to like? As you can see in the video, the rods are super smooth and the counterbalanced players give users optimal control and precision. Gameplay is very fast because of the rods and a level, sturdy playing surface.
Counterbalanced players are a feature not seen on very many tables. It allows users to keep the men horizontal so they don't block their own shots. This ultimately leads to more continuous, faster-paced action.
You probably also noticed how the table didn't budge at all. With such a thick cabinet and overall weight of 225 lbs, users will experience great stability during play, no matter how aggressive they are.
Ball returns are conveniently located on the sides, allowing users to grab the ball and start play again very quickly. The 8-sided natural wood handles are comfortable and provide excellent grip.
The Tornado Elite is built for intermediate to advanced players who want the ultimate foosball experience.
Aesthetics
The Tornado Elite has a Victorian Cherry Laminate finish and a very traditional, heavy appearance. The wood finish, dark legs, and green playing surface are very common among foosball tables. The yellow and black robo style men and light colored handles provide contrast. If you are looking for a traditional, high quality table, you can't do much better than the Elite.
Who's It For?
The Tornado Elite is designed primarily for intermediate to advanced players, or anyone who is willing to pay almost $1500 for a table. For the money, you're not going to find a better one out there.
