Gameplay
Overall, the KICK Monarch Foosball Table performs well beyond what we have come to expect from a table in this price range. General gameplay is fantastically fluid, the chrome-plated rods allow for easy, competent player control, and while it is nowhere near as heavy as a full size standing foosball table, it is certainly sturdy enough for you to put a bit of power behind your shots.
The table allows for both 1-Goalie (The European norm) or 3-Goalie (Favored in America) style of play, and and there is an easily accessible ball return on each end of the table allowing for quick retrieval.
It comes with thirteen home and thirteen away foosball men (blue and yellow), two KICK soccer style foosball balls, and the table has the customary Slide Scoring mounted at each end. The sturdy 2” leg levelers are there to prevent uneven surfaces from having a negative impact on your otherwise fantastic foosball experience.
Aesthetics
Aptly named the "Monarch", this table certainly has a regal elegance about it. A notably sleek design, the medium wood grain of the table is nicely complemented by its folding black legs. The overall stylish appearance, right down to the light wooden handles, means this table will blend effortlessly into any setting.
So, while the table was specifically designed to allow it to be neatly stored away when not in use – it can even be stored upright – it seems a shame to not have it permanently on display for all to behold.
Who’s It For?
The ease with which this fantastic foosball table compactly folds away makes it is an obvious choice for those living in small apartments or that have restricted room to play , as well as for those who like to transport the game with them on their travels.
It is also a great table for beginners and casual players that want access to their own table, but don’t want to spend a large amount of money on a full sized standing table. The size of the table makes it easy for children over ten to enjoy as well.
