The Tornado T-3000 is as durable of a foosball table as you will find on the market. The cabinet 1-1/2″ thick and constructed out of stainless steel laminate. Not to mention that it weighs a robust 355 lbs, which happens to be 130 lbs heavier than the $1400 Tornado Elite table. All the parts are made with top-shelf quality.
The thickness of the playfield plays a role in how durable it will be. A thin one is more likely to warp long-term. Anything less than 1/2″ is thin by my standards. The T-3000 has a 3/4″ thick playfield.
The perception exists that USA made foosball tables are higher quality compared to China. I don’t know how much truth there is to that, but all of Tornado’s models are made in the USA.
The T-3000 is built to last a lifetime.
It has everything you could ask for as far as gameplay is concerned. First, it has great stability. You matter how hard you play, it’s not going to budge. Second, the thick playfield provides not only durability, but provides a level surface. You’re not going to have dead spots with the T-3000.
The telescopic rods provide more safety if kids are using it. They don’t stick out on the other side like most rods do. So if a child is standing near the table, they won’t get poked by rods. Rods are incredibly smooth and provide the users with a great deal of control.
The wood handles are stylish, comfortable, and durable. Ball returns are on the sides, providing convenience for players. The patented Tornado men have sharper corners and increased cross section for optimal control and passing. If you are an experienced player who wants fast play, the T-3000 delivers.
In my opinion, the traditional wood finish is warmer than the stainless steel exterior of the T-3000. Everything else looks fine, from the yellow and black men, to the green playing surface, to the black legs. I’m also not really a big fan of the decals on the sides. It makes the table look a little cheap.
Who’s It For?
The Tornado T-3000 is for anyone, but is primarily built for intermediate and professional level players. It’s also for anyone who wants to invest in a top-of-the-line table that will last a lifetime, and for anyone who has $2,000 to spend on a table. It’s as good of a table as you will probably find on the market.
